Women Influencing Women – August Event

Join us on Wednesday, 19 August at 7.45am at Baker Tilly Staples Rodway for a relaxed and inspiring morning connecting with like-minded women.

We’re delighted to welcome Shaleah Lawrence, the founder of New Zealand skincare brand Earthwoven. Earthwoven provides safe, effective care for sensitive and reactive skin, with products that are clinically proven, dermatologist-tested, vegan, cruelty-free, and proudly made in New Zealand.

Shaleah will share the candid and authentic story behind her brand – one that was born from personal experience and determination.

After struggling with severe skin issues that conventional treatments couldn’t resolve, and discovering an allergy to common ingredients like parabens, she realised there had to be a better way. That journey led to the creation of Earthwoven.

This is an opportunity to hear firsthand about:

  • Turning a personal challenge into a purpose-led business
  • What it really takes to build a brand from the ground up
  • Making key growth decisions, including investment and working internationally
  • Lessons in resilience, adaptability and backing yourself

We host these events to celebrate our incredible clients. Come along, bring a friend, and enjoy a time of connection and conversation.

  • When: Wednesday, 19 August - 7.45am
  • Where: Baker Tilly Staples Rodway HB, 205 Hastings Street South, Hastings

Seminar – How to improve profitability, productivity and cashflow in a tough economy

Join us at this complimentary seminar that covers how we survive, strengthen and improve profitability when growth isn't guaranteed.

Business owners know the current economic environment is challenging. When sales are harder to come by and costs continue to rise, simply working harder is rarely the answer.

Join The Lean Hub and Baker Tilly Staples Rodway for a practical session focused on improving performance, profitability and cashflow by getting more value from the resources you already have. Attendees will leave with practical ideas they can implement immediately to strengthen their business.

In this environment, businesses don't necessarily need more sales first. They need to make better use of the sales, people and resources they already have. Steffan Kelly a director of  The Lean Hub works with businesses around the country to build focus and efficiency into how they operate. He's spent his career helping teams cut waste, sharpen decision-making and turn small changes into lasting results for big business and small business alike, across many industries. Steffan will discuss how do we improve productivity and eliminate wasted effort, while Michelle Valler, director at Baker Tilly Staples Rodway will share how to improve profitability, cashflow and key KPI’s that every business owner should know. With 25 years’ experience working alongside business owners, Michelle helps clients improve profitability and cashflow through clear goal-setting, performance measurement, and actionable business planning to achieve their goals.

Please register now to join Steffan and Michelle as they share how working harder isn’t always the answer.

  • When: Wednesday, 23 September
  • Time: 7:45am – 9:00am
