Matilda Smith

Head of People and Culture, Auckland

Matilda is an experienced people and culture professional with an international background spanning New Zealand and Japan. Her expertise encompasses human resources, policy and cross-cultural engagement, to which she enjoys helping individuals and organisations navigate complex workplace matters through fair, practical and people-centric processes. 

She is a licensed Private Investigator and has experience undertaking independent workplace investigations to help clients make informed decisions. As a trained mediator, holding a certificate from the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand (AMINZ), she is also able to assist organisations in early dispute resolution. 

Matilda holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Japanese from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.
